TANZANIA

The parks

Tanzania has dedicated a quarter of its national territory to the conservation of flora and fauna and the parks of Tanzania represent the safari par excellence. Areas protected for almost 100 years in a nation free of political conflict, have an unparalleled variety and abundance of wildlife. In addition, the rocky conformation of the terrain in the highlands has low vegetation which allows easy and prolonged sighting.

• Northern Parks (Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Tarangire, Manyara, Arusha). The best known area of ​​Tanzania, for the great ease of sighting of wild animals

• Southern Parks (Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha, Udzungwa) are vast parks, rich in very different environments thanks to the differences in altitude and humidity, much less frequented than those in the North but no less rich in wildlife.

The lakes

• Great lakes (Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Nyasa) by far the wildest part of Tanzania, still largely unspoiled and difficult to reach.

UGANDA

The parks

Uganda offers a safari very rich in fauna, in environments of savannah and tree-lined savannah, along rivers and lakes that make this garden of Africa particularly rich in biodiversity and beauty. Compared to Tanzania it takes a bit of luck to spot the big cats but the birdlife and primates are even more varied.

Chimpanzee and gorilla trekking

A long work of habit to man has made it possible to approach our shy first cousins, and it is a really great emotion. It is necessary to look for families in the thick of the forest, walking for a few hours, in the company of guides and rangers, but the effort is amply rewarded!

Trekking on the Rwenzori

Africa's largest mountain range reaches 5109 m in altitude. The climb develops with ups and downs and takes place in the thick of the primary forest, very rich in water and biodiversity.
